Be Well Belvedere

Be Well Belvedere is a voluntary, incentive-driven wellness program offered in order to assist our teammates in leading stronger, healthier lives both personally and professionally. Belvedere is proud to support its members in reaching their personal health goals, whatever they may be, by providing intramural sports & incentive-driven wellness!

Our Women’s Initiative

The Women’s Initiative’s aim is to provide a community of mentorship, camaraderie, leadership, and career development for the women of Belvedere Trading.

Furthermore, the Women’s Initiative’s goals are to embody our core values through the following:

  • Providing opportunities for the women in our community to make meaningful connections.

  • Developing leadership, networking, and professional skill building through speakers, seminars, and workshop.

  • Empowering all team members to assertively participate and contribute their ideas.

The Parents Network

As we continue to grow, we recognize the importance of our expanding community of parents. This Parent Network aims to provide dedicated support and advocacy, enhancing our environment to promote work-life balance and empower new and seasoned parents to thrive personally and professionally.

Belvedere Cares

Belvedere Cares takes a two-pronged approach to charitable initiatives through our Team Belvedere Cares as well as through our Belvedere Cares Foundation. Team Belvedere Cares focuses on options that encourage, enable and support team members to make an impact in efforts they personally feel impassioned by through community events, flexible schedules, and financial matching programs.

The Belvedere Cares Foundation supports well vetted, long term community partnerships that promote the mission of the Belvedere Cares Foundation. Belvedere’s charitable initiatives are managed by a committee comprised of members of Team Belvedere who seek to make contributions outside of their core role.

Philanthropic Partners:

Belvedere Cares currently supports a variety of nonprofit organizations.  In our future partnerships, we will pursue organizations that are managed efficiently, will benefit most from our contributions, and that are seeking a long-term relationship.  A key attribute of our partners is that their objectives align both with Belvedere Cares’ mission and Belvedere Trading’s core values.  Programs that we support will be evaluated using quantifiable metrics that allow measurement of the effectiveness of the organization’s operations and outcomes.  We also aim to extend our contributions beyond financial assistance by seeking partners who can benefit from Team Belvedere’s volunteerism.  Belvedere Cares currently partners with the following charities, and as Belvedere Cares is in its relative infancy, we expect to see this list grow over time.

Matching:

At Belvedere Trading, we recognize that all members of Team Belvedere have causes and charities that are most near and dear to them. In alignment with our core values, we encourage every team member to continue to pursue these causes and charities. To accomplish this, a key component of Belvedere Cares is a matching program that is available to all members of Team Belvedere. The list below represents a sampling of the diverse causes that Belvedere Cares has supported through our matching program:

Belvedere Trading University

Because of our commitment to the ongoing development of Team Belvedere, and to ensure our team members are continually learning about the most innovative technologies and trading strategies, Belvedere Trading has created Belvedere Trading University, more simply known as BTU.

Take a look at our list of offered core training courses.

  • The goal of Advanced Theory is to provide traders and leaders in the trading department with a comprehensive, advanced level of theory discussion and comprehension, as it pertains specifically to the Belvedere Model of proprietary trading.

  • The Belvedere Applications program introduces Traders to all of the Belvedere software, as well as the responsibilities associated with an electronic trading position.

  • Through this course, students become fluent with the git/gerrit version control system, develop firm understanding of networking basics and gain a comprehensive overview of the Belvedere development and production environment.

  • An introduction for new Traders and TOAs to the fundamentals of the trading industry, including market making, trading practices, industry standards and Belvedere Trading's company history.

  • This course covers an abbreviated version of our Core Theory curriculum for traders, and aims to educate team members in seats outside of the trading department on the fundamentals of option trading theory, including market making, option basics, risk measurements, and trading vocabulary.

  • Dev 201 provides developers with the knowledge of how to work in our different programming languages and environments and with our development standards.

  • Linux 101 is intended to give students a fully functional background in Linux, with a balance of theoretical information, history of its development, and practical application.

  • Mock Trading gives students hands-on experience in a true-to-life simulated trading environment, with the guidance of more experienced traders.

  • The Operations Analyst Basics BTU program is designed to instill a comprehensive understanding of a trader’s daily roles and responsibilities, including usage of proprietary and external tools, as well as industry vocabulary necessary for success.

  • The Process course seeks to educate new team members on the theoretical aspects of agile and the practical implementation of Belvedere's project management processes.

  • The BTU System Training course is a comprehensive program of study designed to give all technology team members a high level overview of Belvedere’s systems and industry.

  • An introduction for new Traders and TOAs to the processes, systems and concepts utilized by the Belvedere technology teams.

  • Unit Testing teaches the best and common practices for unit tests in all 3 main languages at Belvedere (C#/C++/Python).
